VerseForThis is a Christian scripture guidance app. We treat spiritual input as sensitive. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect account information needed to sign you in, such as your authentication provider user ID and session details. If you use the app, we may store profile preferences, onboarding answers, guidance history saved automatically from sessions you request, journal notes you choose to save, subscription entitlement status, and abuse-prevention records such as hashed device or IP evidence.

When you request a personalized guided session, the text you submit is processed by our server to retrieve scripture and create the response. Daily verses, Bible reading, History re-reads, and share cards do not call AI.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the app, retrieve scripture, generate the one personalized result or paid personalized results you request, save guidance history automatically so you can re-read it, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, enforce the one-free-result limit, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.

Analytics And Diagnostics

We may collect limited analytics and diagnostics, such as screen and funnel events, purchase status events, crash reports, device platform, and app environment. Analytics are designed not to include raw spiritual input, prayers, journal text, secrets, tokens, or private route parameters.

Subscriptions And Payments

Purchases are handled by Apple and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details. We receive subscription entitlement and event information needed to unlock or revoke premium access.

AI And Scripture

Personalized guidance uses retrieved public-domain scripture and bounded AI after server-side safety, cost, and subscription or quota checks. The app does not claim to speak for God, does not provide medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice, and should not replace qualified professional support, pastoral care, or emergency services.

Sharing

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication and database services, OpenAI for requested personalized guidance, RevenueCat for subscriptions, and analytics or crash reporting providers if enabled. We do not sell personal information.

Account Deletion

You can request account deletion from Settings in the app. Account deletion removes your account and user-owned app data. Some anonymized or de-linked records may be retained where needed for abuse prevention, security, accounting, legal compliance, or aggregate cost controls.

Children

VerseForThis is not designed for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
